365 Days Later

One year ago today, we arrived in London with our heavy suitcases, wondering where we'd live and what we'd done, giving up our wonderful apartment, storing away the contents of our Vancouver lives, and jetting off into the great unknown. The unsurprising truth is that the year has flown by, and we're amazed to find ourselves in December again, already, so soon?! We're still leading uncluttered lives with relatively few possessions, especially compared with our (okay, my) packrat tendencies in Vancouver, so the freebie string of fairy lights we picked up at the East London Design Show came in handy for adding a touch of the season to our living-room door today:
