Banksy Welcomes You to Stoke Newington

I started to feel a bit better today and got out of the house to do some errands up on Church Street. Although it poured for most of the afternoon, it was still nice to get out of our tissue-strewn flat, and I was determined to get something other than another "we're ill" photo for the blog! Sometimes the most familiar sights are the ones that I forget to photograph, so today's pic is of a piece of street art that we've walked past many times on Church Street:

Somehow this one always makes me smile--on the side of a building, facing a grassy lot, this strange pair waves to passers-by from their life-sized first-floor balcony while their equally odd cast of friends (family?) keeps them company. Welcome to Stokey!
