M&S and Muji (6 December)

Flat-hunting is hard work and we needed a cheap lunch.

M&S to the rescue! We used to have Marks & Spencer in Vancouver, although they didn't carry the variety of goods that they do here. Our take-away lunch was as yummy as the design is pleasing.

We spent a lot of time in Muji in Tokyo (you could literally live in their flagship Yurakucho shop, with its showhome of modular housing and its wonderful café), but the prospect of living in, rather than just visiting, a city with Muji shops is very smile-inducing.
