Attack of the Worms

Our first full day back in London and we didn't feel ready to face the hustle and bustle of the big city, so we decided to have a "village" day in Stoke Newington, sticking close to home and enjoying a picnic with the Saturday Guardian and a game of Scrabble in Clissold Park. Some parts of the city dweller don't get absorbed into village life so easily though, as evidenced by this photo of Bob telling me to "hurry up and take the photo" because he was "starving."
Today was overcast, breezy, and feeling like the beginning of fall, but it still made for a nice day on the grass.
Apparently though, Clissold Park has quite a problem with worms (not any stereotypical ants for this picnic, oh no),
and the fact that they know how to spell and want every Scrabble turn to be worm-related made the game take longer than expected.
Once we ate them all, the game moved along much more smoothly . . .
